"The Man With the Whip." Originally aired on 5/8/58.

Steve plays Don Rudolfo Martinez, a young admirer of barmaid Maria Crespo, (Myrna Fahey).
When Carlos Murietta (Kent Taylor) makes unwanted passes at Maria, Rudolfo defends her honor by challenging him to a duel. It will take place at dawn tomorrow.
Diego takes Rudolfo home to see just how much he knows about fencing. It is obvious that Rudolfo doesn't stand a chance. Diego is understandably worried.
He tells Rudolfo that perhaps he should not go through with the duel. That it is better to call it off than have Maria be attending his funeral. Rudolfo says that he would never be able to hold his head up if he backs out.
Rudolfo insists that he will be at the appointed place in the morning and he'd like Diego there too as his second. He'll be there.

Unbeknownst to Rudolfo and Maria, Zorro visited Murietta where he challenged him to his own duel. Zorro warned Murietta to give up the duel with Rudolfo and to make sure he did, Zorro cut Murietta's hand with his sword. The next morning, José Mordante (Jack Kruschen), as Murietta's second, arrived to tell Diego and Rudolfo that Murietta has had to decline the duel due to cutting his hand while shaving his mustache. With a sigh of relief, Maria and Rudolfo happily walk away arm in arm.
