Hi, Steve Sr. Wanted to let you know that I read through your site and enjoyed every bit of it. You sure have come a long way since the MMC days in the "Annette" serial! Not that you didn't do well as an actor--I remember that serial very well and also your appearance on the "Zorro" tv show (my wife and I have DVD copies). As a young boy I was big on practically every TV and movie western (still am) as you were and are. That's partly what prompted me to write a book about former Hollywood child stars (work in progress). Each star gets a bio and naturally you're in it along with Lonnie Burr, Annette, Sharon Baird and the rest of the Red Team members. Also Tommy Kirk and Tim Considine to name a few. Did a bio on Rudy Lee, too, even though not much is available about him. I believe you worked with him in the "Annette" serial. Hope he is doing well. Adios, amigo, and keep up the good work you are doing as a talent agent and more!

Hello Steve, I really enjoyed your VCN interview. Made me laugh a few times. How great to have gone through those experiences you tell about. Anyway, thanks for sharing it with everyone, including me.

Hi Steve Sr. & Jr.! I found out about your agency today in an online yahoo group. I decided to do some research and now after an hour of reading about your amazing journey (Steve Sr.), I am just so amazed. I live all the way in Clearwater, FL. I am a new actress with aspirations to work in Hollywood some day. I am just so happy to have found an agent with integrity and a special grace such as yours. That article on Backstage West was amazing reading today. I am looking forward to purchasing your book about show business.
God bless you both!

Hi Steve, my three daughters and I met you and Sammy Ogg at the Hollywood Collectors Convention in Burbank on July 30th and you gave us an autographed photo of you and Annette. Thank you! We are so happy to have gotten to meet you and Sammy. We all enjoyed watching you on The Mickey Mouse Club so much. Getting to meet the two of you was a fantastic experience. You two are really, really special people. We talked about Disneyland's 50th anniversary and wondered together whether the people from The Mickey Mouse Club would be included in the celebration. I've been watching for news and finally found mention of the fact that ten of the original Mouseketeers will be appearing at Disneyland on October 2nd and 3rd. Sorry I didn't get any better advance notice. We all hope you are able to attend!
God bless.

Hello Steve Stevens, I am an actor from Cape Girardeau Missouri who plans on moving out to L.A. by January 2006. Recently at the Southeast Theatre Conference in North Carolina I met a Patrick Cronin from Mali Finn casting and I asked him about getting an agent in L.A. and he said that you were spectacular. I would love to be able to talk to you on the phone but I can't find a number for you anywhere. I will be visiting the Los Angeles area during the beginning of this summer and I would love to meet with you then if you could squeeze me in. Email me if you are looking for anymore information about me, or if you would like for me to contact you. Thank you for your time.

Greetings! I saw you on our local tv news the other morning promoting your book and I will be picking it up, mainly for my daughter. She is a hard working actor who really has done well on the stage, however as an agent, are you supportive of theater trained actors trying their craft in film & tv? She has a local agent however she urged my daughter to locate other agents for her range of talent; dance & vocals. Would love your take and any suggestions. She is just finishing a gig with Disney and loves them! Thank you for your time!
Oh yeah, "keep your heels down" ;-)
Peace,

Hello Steve Sr. and Jr. Thanks for coming to our rodeo. Libby, Sandy and I are still recuperating. I'm working on that sock hop idea you planted in my head. Tell Amanda hi! It was real nice meeting her. Can't wait till the next time so I can hear some more stories. Till then, "Happy Trails to You".

Thank you Mr. Stevens for your fast response to my earlier email. We are putting together a very large venue in Apache Junction, AZ and would like to get some help to find the stars that we are hoping to have perform there. Any help you could give us would be very much appreciated. Please let me know if this is something you can help us with. Thank you again for all your fine work. We have grown up with you and didn't even know it. What fun!!

To Steve Sr. - Thought you might like to know who I am, that is, if you knew who my father was. (Marshall Wright). He was a famous personality in the Hollywood set. He managed the Ambassador Hotel in L.A. back in the 1950s, the Flamingo and Riviera hotels and many other notable hotels. He was a personal friend of many Hollywood greats. Sorry to say he died last year and I miss him very much. Well, to make a long story short, I kind of took the path you took and started team-roping at a late age in life, (48). Three years later, getting better all the time. Mabe we'll rope together at the Cowboys for Kids rodeo. I would like to at least meet you.

Dear Steve, I just watched your video "Heroes and Legends" #1 with Barney McGery. Thank you for sharing it with me. The genuine compassion for the athletes, the horses and the program displayed by the two of you, make me happy and proud to be associated with all of those who support our special athletes. I look forward to seeing you next Saturday at our re-opening (at the Ranch) and trust you will be pleased with the recent improvements. I am also looking forward to our future collaboration and work in the coming days. We need equestrian (digital) pictures for our web page! May God continue to bless your efforts.

Hi Mr. Stevens! I'm Viridiana. I'm a real fan of the Zorro series. I like Guy Williams! I have full episodes of Zorro. I saw you in one episode called "The Man With The Whip", remember?" It's really cool. That boy is really cute (talking about you.) I downloaded one song from that episode, interpreted by Don Diego de la Vega (I'm still searching for the lyrics). It was a pleasure seeing you in that episode. That hair style reminds me of my boyfriend. When I found this page, I wanted to copy the pictures from your photo album, but I can't. I'm not going to publish them in a website, just wanna put them in my documents. Please, let me know if I can have pics please. Byeeee. Good luck!
"Quien sabe, who knows what you say will be?" (that's a short part of that song I was telling you. Hehehehe).

Hello mio amico vecchio! It's me. "Carol" an old friend from the '60's in H-Wood. A once lost little girl with a baby - remembering you, a kind and honest friend. Thank you for the respect and love you gave to me and Tracy then. (Your mom and dad were angels too.) I am happily married now, to a nice Italian man named Romeo. For real! Davero! We are living at the northern Oregon Coast and loving life. (Perform local venues, in our jazz trio - just for fun). Romeo - video producer, EMT - and me, an Esthetican with a hopping, busy website and private practice in Astoria, OR. I cried "joy" tears when I read about your life, and the goodness of God in it. I can tell Rosemary is beautiful and her contributions to your site, tells me she loves you and is a very sweet person. Your recent pictures reminded me of your dad. How are your parents? If you and Rosemary ever come this way you must visit. Tracy is doing great, a lovely woman - single - but I'm always looking for a great guy- an amazing songwriter and singer (Lillith finalist, best new artist of the year - Portland Oregon, etc.) - and a big heart of gold! I can't believe she remembers you and those horsey rides. (See a previous email from her) Heather, my other "baby", all grown up - is living in Portland near Tracy. It's wonderful to remember our friendship. By the way, how is our old "chauffeur" and friend,Dobie? Well this is probably more than you wanted to know right now. God bless and write us when you can.
Ciao,

Hei Steven! I am a 23 year Norwegian girl dreaming about becoming an actor, well I am an actor but I want to work as an actor. I have a passion for film and in my future I might produce and direct my own movies. Since I was a little girl I always dreamt about USA and Hollywood. I always knew that working with film is in my future. My drama teacher says that I have something special and that I have to use my talent. She is American, but she lives in Norway. I am 23 year old, but I look very young, with no makeup I can look 15, and I am proud of my eyes, have been told that I look like a cat. I am writing to you because I need an agent and you seem like a good person. I know that there are a lot of sharks out there, but I won't give up on my dream.
Best regards.

Steve Sr., You once taught a little girl how to ride on a horse and I have a picture of you and me on this horse in this corral with a white fence! I am now 38 years old with 3 kids. It would be incredible if you remebered me. You were friends with my mom, Carol/Carolee, way back when. I can't believe we stumbled upon this web site. Life is funny and God is great!!! Ring any bells?

Hello Mr. Stevens! Last Wednesday at breakfast in Orlando, FL, I was made an agent for a gent that has written a great screenplay. I'm an "IT" (Computer) guy and don't know much about being an agent though this writer loves my heart and feels that the knowledge will come. My question to you sir, is how would you suggest I get going in this adventure? Thank you in advance for your help and may God richly bless you and your family.

Hi, I am writing in regard to becoming an agent. I have recently been attending classes at John Robert Powers in Denver and have decided that my heart is in Hollywood. Steve Sr: A friend of mine, Tanya (Lamani) George dated Scotty (James Doohan) for awhile back in the 60's after she co-stared with him in "The Wolf In The Fold" episode of Star Trek. She was the belly dancer that he was accused of killing. She read his book and was very happy about the chapter he did about her. She would love to get in contact with him again and thank him. So if you would email me directly, I'll give you her email and phone number to pass on to him.
Thanks.

Hi Steve. I spoke to Kenny Miller. He phoned me a few days ago. He is coming out from Florida next month and will stay till well into January. He will do a fan show in the LA area. Its' been 48 years since you did "Human Jungle" together. I hope you and Kenny can hook up. He told me he would like to see Dick Bakalyan. I know Dick, he's an actor. I'm sure you know of him. Anyway, I know Kenny would love to see you as he has spoken highly of you. He said you were his agent for a time. Have a great Thanksgiving.

I was 9 years old when the MMC show first came on the television. Four days later I was a big 10. The MMC show became an important part of my life, my psyche, my attitude, my being. The important lessons that it taught influence me even today. The children who were on that show were in the same age group as me; 8, 9, 12, 14 and 15. They were having the time of their life, and singing and dancing their way into our hearts and memories. We weren't just fans; they were our friends, like the "most popular kid in school". We all did the same things. We went to school, came home and went to the Mickey Mouse Club meeting. They were just at a different school and they got to be on tv. We all grew up together with memories that are similar. I am grateful: to Walt Disney who had the genius to develop the idea of a kids club; to Jimmie Dodd and Roy Williams who were our teachers, and "big" Mouseketeers; to each of the parents of the individual kids who let them be the professional Mouseketeers; to the lessons and fun that they drenched us with each afternoon between 1955 and 1959 and beyond. I believed it when they sang, "Through the years we'll all be friends, wherever we may be." I and so many others like me, are their friends. Always will be.

Re: Tehachapi Museum, California.....I am writing in behalf of the Tehachapi Museum - Mr. John Sammis - Vice President - We are looking for photos of Chuck Connors as a young man, as a professional athlete, as a middle aged actor, and in his 70's. I had wrote the museum in regards of coming to Chuck Connors home town next year and wanted to see any memorial they might have on him. They don't anything on him and don't understand why they never collected anything on him when he lived only a few minutes outside the city of Techachapi. So he liked the idea and will be doing a "Hollywood" display on Chuck Connors, Jack Palance and Noah Beery Jr. which all have lived now or at one time in this area. So I was wondering if maybe you or anyone could help us get this memorial in place. Please feel free to contact me at riflemanconnors@webtv.net or Mr. Sammis Vice President at Tehachapi Museum - 310 S. Green Street - Tehachapi, California 93561 or jsammis@cybersurfers.net.
Thanks.

Steve, thank you so much for replying to my last comment. To update you on all the news, Disney has definitely closed down the vault. Except for the release of Babes in Toyland in DVD format. No info can be found to date for Annette's birthday. Due to Disney having a fest for the nineties mice in DisneyWorld in 2003, we are now aiming for a mousekefest in 2005. Visit mousekefest@yahoogroups.com for further updates. Please join the Baby Boomers on parade. We are trying to prove to ABC/Disney studios that there still is a strong interest in our era of Walt. The Mickey Mouse Club, Zorro, Davy Crockett and everything Annette, on which you were a great part of this wonderful history. The History of the Mouseketeers ( the oldies but goodies ). You and your whole family are invited to join us. Also check out the comments at mousestars.com. Fella Webmasters for Annette and for Spin and Marty would all like your input. If you are interested, email me and I will send you the other email addresses of other webmasters if you don't already have them. God bless the Steve Stevens family, and yes, you are most definitely invited to this event! Please help me make all my dreams come true!

Dear Steve. I'm crying!!!! The Vault is closing!!! The only consolation I have is there are still great web-sites to visit and see the magic that was Disney. This web-site is a true beauty to behold. Steve, do you realize that Annette turns 60 this year??? I grew up with her. I used to run home each day from school just to watch The Mickey Mouse Club. The mice made each day of the week so special for all, as they sang and they danced their way into our hearts. First Spin and Marty, Annette, Annette in Dairyland, Disneyland, Davy Crockett, then the true magic of Zorro!! I followed these mice from show to show. The Wonderful World of Disney, My Three Sons, The Donna Reed Show, every event I could watch with one of the mice I used to sit glued to the TV set. As movies were shown on the wide screen, I would sit with popcorn in hand. When tributes and biographies would appear, my eyes and ears were wide open with glee. I am the new kid on the block to this great web world. I follow link after link remembering. I leave comments where I am able. My favourite is Mousestars.com as there I have met a great group of people devoted to the mice as I am. We have discussed many dreams over the last couple of months which included the showing of our one hour shows. Sadly to say the only way to view same is when Disney starts selling their DVD's. Then sadly we learned that the new mice on the block are getting a fest at Disneyworld Florida in 2003. So it would appear to this old lady's eyes that as far as Disney is concerned, is that it is out with the old and in with the new and all baby boomers can do is go Boo Hoo, and we do. So dear Steven, in closing this message I still want you to know that I still dream of a Fiftiesmouseketeerfest!!! Darrin and Lonnie sometimes leave comments on the guestbook at Mousestars.com. Please visit there and drop us a line and tell us all of the news that you can find!!! Is dear Disney to celebrate Annette's birthday??? Any Reunion Show news? God Bless the Stevens Family!

Hi Steve, my name is Kurt Ballance. There is one item in your photo album that is very interesting. The subject is Charla Doherty. Back in 1965 and 1966, my father, Bill Ballance dated her. I understand that she died at an early age in 1988. I believe she was forty-one. How did she die? What else do you know about her in her last years? Steve: I must tell you how pleased I am to have found a couple of photographs of deceased (tragically) actress Jenny Maxwell on your website. I had a huge crush on Ms. Maxwell when I was young and have sought (without much success) to find any photos of her - especially from the late 50's and early 60's. So Steve, if you've got more pictures of this wonderful lady, I hope you'll share them! Or, if you have some original 8X10's you'd part with, I'd love to have an opportunity to purchase them. Let me know. I really appreciate your page.
Thanks.

Steven, My dad, Gene Lilley, just showed me an article in a small local newspaper (The Smith Mountain Eagle) in our part of the country (Roanoke, VA) which included a picture of you and him at a western convention that both of you attended recently. As you know from meeting him, he is a cowboy "nut", but knows very little about computers. He asked me to visit your website and let him know what I find. I'll be sure to show him the site soon, in particular "The Roy Rogers Show" info. If you are ever in Virginia, let us know as I know my dad would love to show you his full collection of cowboy memorabilia. It's quite a sight and has even landed him on two of the local news stations. Merry Christmas!

Your website is wonderful - brings back great memories. Our daughter, Elizabeth Keller, says she has some photos we'll love, but won't give us any more details. We hope to meet you sometime. Do you know anyone who will be at the Disneyana Convention in September? You must have some great Disney memories.

Just wanted to say, I love the site and that it's been two and a half years and I will always wonder if I will ever find an agent as good as Steve Stevens again. Alas...

I watched you in "High School Caesar" and it brought back many memories of my first kiss at out local drive-in and my first gal. You were great. I still have a fan mail letter you answered in 1961. I hope you are well.

Dear Mr. Steve: I'm a fan of the entire series of Zorro and I would like that you could tell me something about it and how it was to work on it. Last night I started looking for the Zorro episodes to download to my computer and I found you. I thought that I would like to write you and greet you. I'm hoping that you can tell me whatever you may remember about the Zorro series. I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Mary Spooner, please convey to Steve my condolences on the death of Dale Evans. I know she was a lifelong friend and meant a lot to him. We all have great memories of her, and it is comforting to know she had a great life and felt fulfilled. Also thank him so much for giving Moe the information for LoneWolf to put on his Werewolftv.website. His visitors are thrilled.

Response: Hi Maya. Dale Evans was indeed an angel. What an honor to have known both her and Roy. Thank you for your note.
Steve.
Excellent site. I thought I was the only person who knew who Steve Stevens is. Remember him in the Annette series from Disney and the film High School Caesar, both of which I have. Once again, thanks, and give my regards to Steve.

Response: Wow Linus! I'm amazed that you have copies of the "Annette" series and "High School Caesar". Those were great times. I also did an episode of "Target: The Corruptors" and "Whirlybirds", but don't have the names of the titles. Any chance that you may know? Thanks so much for remembering me.
Steve.
I enjoyed your site and wondered if you had more pictures from "The Roy Rogers Show"? I would like to see them and buy a copy.
Sincerely,
Steve Hazelwood <ciscodad@aol.com>

Response: Hi Steve, thanks for your comments. I don't have any Roy Rogers pictures for sale, but look for some screen captures from that episode to be posted to the site soon.
Steve.
Hi Steve, What a super website and what a fabulous life you have led. Sounds like you have acheived so many of your dreams and goals. I envy you that you had the opportunity to work and know Roy and Dale (they were my heroes) and that Roy was the one that led you to the Lord. I just recently finally got down to Victorville to see my childhood hero's museum and it brought back so many wonderful memories. I would have loved to have just given him a big hug and thank him for all the terrific work he did for children. I totally enjoyed your website and am sure I have 100 questions for you but have taken enough of your time. Thanks again.

Hi Beverly. Roy and Dale were everyone's heroes for generations. From the 30's to the 90's. I have many great show biz stories of the many people I've worked with. I don't have time for 100 questions, but feel free to ask a few more if you can think of any. And thank you for your compliment on my website. It is all due to the hard work of Mary Spooner, who's not only a fan, but a dear friend.
Take care,
Steve.
